The 200–dpi contact image sensors are available in a variety of designs and sizes, from 304 mm to a small 12 mm scanning length. The modules of the M218 series are based on the dual resolution C118 silicon technology with 200 / 400 dpi. The devices are available in aluminium or plastic with 1 to 4 video outputs and can be configured to meet your specific requirements.

The following timing diagram indicates a device with three video outputs. The device can be fully scanned in 1,190 clock cycles (38 inactive clock cycles plus 1152 clock cycles) to clock out the video.
In the example, some amount of overscan can be seen. Since this device uses a global shutter, the overscan period will expose the sensor elements for the next readout cycle.
