Due to its small size, this line camera module is ideal for building compact optoelectronic measuring devices.
A high line rate and a large range of possible exposure times enable use in a variety of applications. The possibility of an external trigger also allows the use in time-critical applications.
Possible applications are:
Easy control
A special »EasyAccess« DLL is available for our USB line scan camera modules, with which the cameras can be put into operation very quickly and controlled for simple applications.
The initialization of the camera, the recording as well as the transfer of the acquired sensor data is done with a few simple commands. This makes this DLL ideally suited for use with Python, but also with other programming languages. Our application examples for our line scan cameras, for example, were all realized with this »EasyAccess« DLL.
For more demanding, time-critical applications, the »EasyAccess« DLL naturally still contains all the conventional functions for controlling the line scan camera for programming with e. g. C++ or similar. The »EasyAccess«-DLL is available free of charge on request. Please contact us via e-mail if you are interested.
The line scan camera board presented here is the professional version, which was developed to cover demanding applications. For simpler and price-sensitive applications, the modules of the standard series are available, which have slightly poorer electronic data and no external trigger.

This module uses the TCD1304DG sensor without the standard cover glass (TCD1304DG-X) and is therefore suitable for measurement tasks that would otherwise cause interference or reflections on the cover glass. Examples include: Beam profile analysis or applications using coherent light sources.
The cover glass is removed internally at Eureca using a specially developed process. After removing the cover glass, all sensors are tested for their function on the respective camera module and taped with a protective film for transport. This must be removed before using the module. If you need permanent protection, we recommend a cover with quartz glass (TCD1304DG-Q).
Since the sensor is socketed, it can easily be replaced by another sensor version if required. This can e. g. be the sensors in the standard version. However, sensors coated with Lumogen to expand the usable spectral range into UV or sensors with special filters are also possible.
After replacing the sensor, the module must be recalibrated. A special automatic program is available for this, which is included in the scope of delivery of the modules.
For some of these variants, there are already module versions with the corresponding preinstalled modified sensors. You will find a corresponding list at the end of this page.
