The EVAL version of our EDU line scan camera is fully functional and ideal for teaching and laboratory environments that want to work with real data early on – with direct contact to the developers and a reduced introductory price.

Possible disadvantages:

• Minor changes to the specifications may still be possible.

However, we respond quickly, provide fixes/workarounds, and you are in the front row.

Who is it suitable for?

This module uses the TCD1304DG sensor without the standard cover glass and with an additional Lumogen coating to extend the usable spectral range into the UV. This makes the module ideal for use in spectrometers for e. g. the material analysis.

The cover glass is removed and the coating applied in-house at Eureca using specially developed processes. After removing the cover glass, all sensors are tested for their function on the respective camera module and taped with a protective film for transport. This must be removed before using the module. If you need permanent protection, we recommend a cover with quartz glass (TCD1304DG-Q).

Since the sensor is mounted on the module, it can easily be replaced by another sensor version if required. This can e. g. be the sensors in the standard version. But sensors only without a cover glass or sensors with special filters are also possible here.

After replacing the sensor, the module must be recalibrated. A special automatic program is available for this, which is included in the scope of delivery of the modules.
