Coated substrates are available in various standard sizes and some commonly used mounts. Other customized sizes and the delivery in customized plug-in or screwing mounts are also possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have interest in such options.
These filters have a very high reflectance in the range of about 700nm to 1100nm, while the visible spectral range is transmitted. They are often used at an angle of 45 degrees, so that the unwanted radiation is deflected to one side.
Typical applications are amongst others:
Cold mirrors reflect visible light while infrared radiation is transmitted from upwards of approximately 700nm. In general these filters are used at an incident angle of 45 °. The main application is to reduce the thermal load of light sources by separating light and heat.
Depending on the wavelength used, various coatings are available to achieve different division ratios.
