Thermoelectric Generators (Seebeck Elements)

Some of our Seebeck elements come from Russian production. Due to the current political situation, we are currently unable to make any statement as to when we will be able to receive deliveries again.

Thermoelectric generators are constructed similar to peltier elements. In contrast to the Peltier-effect, the Seebeck-effect is used to get electrical energy on a direct way from a temperature difference within the element. (This is not the reversion of the Peltier-effect. Both effects always work at the same time and cannot be observed apart from each other!).

Since dimensioning a TEG is much more complex than the common use of a peltier element, please see the simple formulas and constants for the TEGs by Eureca summarized in this overview.


The following tabular shows elements for a maximum operating temperature of up to 120 degree celsius. The indicated values are measured at a temperature difference of 100K.

The elements TEG1-40-40-4.7/100 and TEG2-40-40-4.7/100 provide almost identical technical data. The TEG2-40-40-4.7/100 is made in China and provides higher tolerances and a reduced life time, is however much cheaper.


The following table shows elements for maximum operating temperatures of up to 150 degree celcius. The indicated values are measured at a temperature difference of 200K.
